The Annual Report of the Governors and Trustees of The Liverpool Blue Coat Hospital for 1941
The 1941 Report highlights how problems of the WWII school evacuation to Beaumaris were gradually being resolved. To take pressure off local schools, Blue Coat rented a large house called Bryn from the Baron Hall Estate and with the huge generosity of a local sponsor converted it into classrooms for boys and girls, including a science lab. The children meantime were settling into their billets in private houses and were both “happy and comfortable”.
