The Squirrel magazine was conceived by students to record Blue Coat School life and first published in Spring 1955, keenly supported by the then headmaster GG Watcyn. It covered all aspects of the school and is a terrific record of changing interests and tastes over the decades. Initially the magazine was termly and finally an annual. Items include reports on sports, trips, clubs, societies, career opportunities, Old Blues, competitions, and creative writing.
